Link in Bio Ideas for Musicians: What to Put on Your Page

Your link in bio is the one place every fan who finds you on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube can go next. For a musician, that page has a specific job: get someone from "this song is good" to listening, following, buying a ticket or buying merch.

Here's what to put on it, and in what order.

Start with one thing

The top spot is the most valuable space on the page, so give it to the one thing you're pushing right now:

  • A new single or album
  • A pre-save before release day
  • Tickets for an upcoming show
  • A merch drop
Everything else goes below. When the push is over, swap the top link and leave the rest alone. Fans learn where to look.

Let people listen on the page

Most people who tap your bio link want to hear you first. An embedded Spotify, YouTube or SoundCloud player lets them press play without leaving the page, and someone who has already heard the song is far more likely to tap through to save it.

On LiteLinks, Spotify, YouTube and TikTok embeds come with the Lite plan.

Send every fan to their own app

"Link in bio (choose your platform)" makes every fan do the work. A smart link does it for them: one link that sends iPhone fans to Apple Music and Android fans to Spotify or YouTube Music.

LiteLinks Pro includes smart links that route by device, country or time of day, and can split-test two destinations.

Ten ideas worth a spot

  1. Your latest release, embedded so it plays on the page.
  2. A pre-save for the next one, with a countdown to release day.
  3. Tour dates, each with its ticket link.
  4. Your merch store, wherever it's hosted: Bandcamp, Shopify or your own site.
  5. A tip jar for fans who want to support you directly.
  6. Your mailing list. It's the one audience no algorithm can take away.
  7. A music video, embedded from YouTube.
  8. Your full catalog on your main streaming platform.
  9. Booking and press contact, as a contact form, so venues and blogs can reach you.
  10. Your socials as icons along the top, rather than taking up full-width buttons.
You won't need all ten at once. Five or six links that each do a clear job beat a long list nobody scrolls.

Change the page with the moment

Release week

Put the new release at the top with an embed, move the pre-save off, and add a countdown if the music video is still coming.

Tour

Put the next show at the top, then the full list of dates. Remove dates as they pass so the page never looks out of date.

Merch drop

Put a countdown to the drop at the top, then swap it for the store link the moment it goes live. On LiteLinks Pro, a scheduled link can switch over on its own.

Make it look like the music

Your page is often the first thing a new fan sees after the song. Pick colors from your cover art and a font that fits the genre. On LiteLinks every theme, font, pattern and color is free, so you can match each era without paying for a design plan.

Check what fans tap

After a week, look at which links get tapped. If almost nobody taps the third link, move it down or remove it. If one platform clearly wins, put it first.
