Link in Bio for Photographers: Turn Your Instagram Into Bookings
For a photographer, Instagram is the portfolio people find first. The link in your bio is where a follower who likes your work becomes a client who books you. That page has one job: make booking feel easy.
Decide what you want people to do
Most photographers want one of three things from a visitor:
- Book a shoot: weddings, portraits, families, brands
- Buy something: prints, presets, guides
- Hire you for work: editorial, commercial, agency
The core links
- Book a shoot or check availability. Your booking form, calendar or enquiry page. Name it plainly: "Check my 2027 wedding dates" beats "Contact".
- Portfolio, split by type if you shoot more than one thing: "Weddings", "Portraits", "Brand work". A couple wondering if you do weddings shouldn't have to scroll through product shots.
- Pricing or packages. Even a "Packages from…" page cuts down the enquiries that go nowhere.
- Reviews or past clients. A testimonials page, or your Google or wedding-directory reviews.
- Prints or digital products, if you sell them.
- Socials as icons along the top, not full-width buttons.
Let the photos do the work
You're selling visuals, so show some right on the page. A LiteLinks image gallery (Lite plan and up) puts a strip of your best shots right on the page, so a visitor sees your style before they tap anything. Keep it to your strongest five or six images, changed each season.
On Pro, you can use your own photo as the page background. Pick one with a calm area behind the buttons so the text stays readable.
Make enquiries easy
Every extra step between "I like this" and "I've sent an enquiry" loses people.
- Use a contact form on the page. LiteLinks Pro includes one, so a visitor can send an enquiry without leaving.
- Ask for the key details up front: date, location, type of shoot. Fewer back-and-forth emails.
- Say how fast you reply. "I reply within 24 hours" makes people more likely to send.
Seasonal changes
Your page should follow your calendar:
- Wedding season booking push: "Now booking 2027" at the top.
- Mini sessions: an autumn or holiday mini-session link with a countdown to the booking deadline.
- Print sales: move the shop link up during gift season.
Look like your work
Your page is part of your portfolio. Pick colors and a font that match your editing style: light and airy, moody and dark, or bold and graphic. Every theme, font and color on LiteLinks is free, including on the free plan.
Keep it current
- Swap the gallery when your best recent work changes.
- Remove fully booked dates and past mini sessions.
- Check which links get tapped. If "Pricing" gets far more taps than "Book", visitors may need more information before they enquire.
